In addition, real yak milk is only available in limited quantities; we do not want to deprive the people of Nepal, who desperately need the milk.

Every Golddust Chhurpi is made from 99.9% cow's milk (0.01% is salt). As with cheese production, rennet is added to the milk. The milk curdles, and this mass is placed in moisture-permeable cloths in a mold, then pressed and dried for over 3 months.
